Launch of the Onyx and Human Resources systems at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences – University of Taiz, in partnership with YemenSoft

As part of a strategic partnership agreement with Yemen Soft Limited for Systems and Consulting, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Taiz University witnessed on Sunday, August 3, 2025, the launch of an agreement to adopt systems (ONEX and Human Resources), in the presence of academic and administrative figures from the university and college leadership, as well as company representatives.

This launch reflects the university’s approach to linking the academic side with practical application and providing a modern educational environment that contributes to equipping students with the skills required by the job market.

Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Shuaibi, President of Taiz University, affirmed his full support for this unique initiative, pointing out the importance of integrating electronic accounting and administrative systems into the educational process to enhance the practical efficiency of graduates and keep pace with technological changes in the academic and professional world.

Prof. Dr. Yahya Abdul Ghaffar, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, also expressed his great pride in this step, describing it as a qualitative leap in updating curricula and linking them to practical reality. He also praised the constructive cooperation between the faculty and Yemen Soft, which culminated in this achievement.

Prof. Dr. Riyad Al-Aqab, Vice President for Student Affairs, emphasized that this partnership is an extension of a series of fruitful cooperation agreements with Yemen Soft, which began in 2013 and was subsequently strengthened in 2020, noting that the company’s continued support for the college confirms its commitment to training technically qualified personnel.

In the same context, Prof. Yasser Al-Salawi, Vice President for Academic Affairs, emphasized that introducing electronic systems into the educational process is a strategic step toward narrowing the gap between what students learn in theory and the advanced technical skills required in the professional world, especially in practical disciplines such as accounting and management.

Dr. Adel Al-Zaaitri, Head of the Accounting Department at the College, also played a pivotal role in creating the appropriate environment for implementing the systems and coordinating all efforts between the College and the company. He expressed his delight at the success of this partnership, emphasizing that this achievement is the result of tireless teamwork that seeks to empower students with practical work tools.

In his speech during the event, Mr. Asim Al-Areeqi, Director of the Yemen Soft branch – Taiz, the interest of the company’s general manager, Engineer Ali Abdulhafiz Al-Yousfi, in the success of this partnership, as Yemen Soft is one of the leading Yemeni companies in the field of financial and administrative systems, which has contributed and continues to contribute to promoting digital transformation in the business field and enhancing the academic and practical aspects of university students to keep pace with the job market

Al-Aryqi discussed the systems offered by the company that serve various sectors: industrial, commercial, and service, explaining that Yemen Soft does not merely provide technical solutions, but seeks to bridge the gap between education and the job market through training and institutional support. He also referred to the international agreements that the company has signed with a number of educational and technical institutions around the world, as part of its vision to promote digital transformation in education.

At the end of the event, Mr. Mohamed Abdeljalil Al-Yousfi, Director of Consulting and Implementation at the company’s branch, gave a technical presentation on the company, its establishment, objectives, mission, and the services and software solutions it provides to all economic and service sectors. He also gave a technical presentation on ERP systems and their components.

This launch represented a living example of integration between academic institutions and leading national companies, with the aim of preparing a generation of university students equipped with the skills required by the practical reality and supported by modern technological tools that will advance the future of education in Yemen.
